Every other vendor gets judged in a photo, a plated dish, a bouquet held still for a second. The DJ is judged in real time, for hours, by a room that's actively moving. Sydney's weddings raise the bar further: an English-speaking table, a Tamil-speaking table and a Sinhalese-speaking table, often in the same family, all needing to feel like the night was built for them.

Fifteen years spent curating the tracks already proven to fill a floor, not chasing whatever's trending this week. English pop, R&B, dance and hip-hop from Boney M's disco era through the 2010s' biggest anthems. Tamil sets built on A.R. Rahman's catalogue and full-throttle Kuthu. Sinhalese Baila and Papare in the tradition of the Gypsies. All three, played with the same care, side by side, and a current hit added in wherever you want one.
